Cockapoos love the water, with two breeds that excel in the water its no surprised that they will jump into the pool first chance they get. When you first bring out the pool gradually introduce your puppy to the water, let them explore it on their own.
Water Safety
- Everything has its risks and with the water, Cockapoos must always be supervised near and in bodies of water. Its a good idea to cover up the pool if you don't want your puppy swimming without you knowing.
- Watch to make sure they are not drinking to much water when they are swimming.
- If you plan to go to open bodies of water (lakes and rivers) a life jacket is a great idea for them. This makes the dog safer incase anything happens it will keep them a float.
